Covington’s Insurance Recovery Practice Wins Chambers 'Award for Excellence'
June 5, 2018
WASHINGTON—Covington’s Insurance Recovery practice has received the 2018 Chambers USA "Award for Excellence" in Insurance, marking the seventh time the firm has received this honor in the 12 years it has been awarded.
The "Award for Excellence" is given to one U.S. firm representing policyholders in the insurance coverage field. In addition to the award, Covington is the only firm with a top-tier ranking nationally, as well as in California and Washington in the Chambers USA 2018 guidebook.
Chambers describes Covington as “the gold standard for the representation of policyholders” with a team that “is often the first port of call for companies engaged in novel insurance coverage disputes, both at the trial and appellate levels.”
“We are delighted by this recognition of our Insurance Recovery group, one of the firm’s most dynamic and storied practices. Ultimately, this is a testament to our clients, who put their trust in us and work closely with our lawyers on these important matters,” said Mitchell Dolin, co-chair of the practice.
In addition to the firm’s rankings, Chambers ranked fifteen Covington coverage lawyers individually, including Don Brown, John Buchanan, Mitchell Dolin, Anna Engh, Marialuisa Gallozzi, Saul Goodman, David Goodwin, Bill Greaney, Larry Hobel, Ben Lenhart, Marty Myers, Matt Schlesinger, René Siemens, Bill Skinner, and Seth Tucker.
Covington’s Insurance Recovery practice, with more than 100 lawyers in multiple offices on the East and West Coasts and in London, has a record of successfully assisting policyholders in maximizing their insurance coverage for a wide variety of contested claims for over 35 years.
