Covington Promotes 15 to Partner

WASHINGTON—Covington has promoted 15 lawyers to its partnership.

The new partners, who are based in Beijing, London, New York, and Washington, are:
Megan Crowley (Washington): Megan is a commercial litigator who represents clients in complex, high-stakes disputes at both the trial and appellate levels. She has significant experience representing technology companies in cutting-edge litigation relating to cybersecurity and data privacy, and particular expertise with constitutional and regulatory litigation against the federal government under the Administrative Procedure Act. Megan received her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her law degree from Columbia Law School.
Kristin Davenport (Washington): Kristin advises medical device companies regarding premarket strategies and pathways, the premarket submission process, advertising and promotion, compliance and enforcement matters, jurisdictional questions, and import/export issues. Kristin earned her B.A. from Georgetown University and her J.D. from the Boston College Law School .
Ross Demain (Washington): Ross advises clients in complex antitrust matters, including government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other transactions, litigation, compliance, and trade association activities. He has represented clients in civil and criminal investigations before the Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and state antitrust enforcers, and as both plaintiffs and defendants in private antitrust litigation. He also regularly helps clients assess and comply with their obligations under the HSR Act. Ross graduated with a B.A. from Washington University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Joseph Gangitano (New York): Joe advises emerging companies on all corporate issues from formation to exit, including venture capital financings, corporate governance issues, commercial agreements, mergers and acquisitions, and other general corporate and strategic matters. He also represents venture capital funds, corporate venture capital arms of global pharmaceutical and technology companies, and angel investors in their investment transactions. Joe earned his B.M. from New York University and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
Peter Koski (Washington): Peter represents individuals and companies in sensitive, high-stakes government investigations and enforcement actions, internal investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters. Prior to joining the firm, he served as the Deputy Chief of the Department of Justice’s Public Integrity Section, where he helped manage a team of over 30 attorneys responsible for investigating and prosecuting corruption across the country. Peter graduated with a J.D. from Stanford Law School.
Cléa Liquard (New York): Cléa focuses on the representation of corporate and other policyholders in the recovery of insurance proceeds through negotiation, mediation, and litigation. Cléa has extensive experience securing insurance coverage for a broad range of liabilities and losses, including shareholder, mass tort, product recall, intellectual property, event cancellation, and professional liability claims. Cléa has successfully recovered hundreds of millions of dollars on behalf of her clients. Cléa earned her B.A. from Reed College and her J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Ning Lu (Beijing): Ning has extensive experience in advising U.S. and European clients on various types of business transactions in China. She has assisted corporate and financial investors, and her practice covers foreign direct investment in China, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment, foreign exchange, real estate, employment, distribution and franchises, intellectual property, telecom, and State-owned assets. Ning received an LL.B from Peking University and a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School.
Charlotte May (Washington): Advising clients on a broad range of corporate and securities matters, Charlotte regularly handles capital markets transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate governance, securities disclosure, and compliance issues. Charlotte represents a wide range of corporate clients with particular experience in the financial services and life sciences industries. Charlotte earned her B.A. from the University of San Diego and her J.D. from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law.
Krysten Rosen Moller (Washington): Krysten's practice focuses on investigations and litigation, with an emphasis on serving clients in the healthcare industry. She has significant experience assisting companies with complex internal and government investigations and in representing companies in related litigation, including cases arising under the False Claims Act. She also regularly counsels clients on negotiating, implementing, and operating under HHS-OIG Corporate Integrity Agreements. Krysten is a graduate of the University of Florida and Harvard Law School.
David Sneed (Washington): David specializes in representing clients in complex civil litigation, particularly in mass tort and product liability actions. He regularly defends pharmaceutical clients in large-scale litigation in state and federal courts around the country, as well as counsels and defends clients in False Claims Act government investigations and related litigation. David received a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a J.D. from Columbia Law School, and an LL.M from the University of Amsterdam.
Brandon Thompson (London): Brandon provides strategic advice to global companies based primarily in Europe and the United States on a broad range of complex cross-border corporate matters, including public and private offerings of equity and debt securities, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and growth financings, corporate governance, and debt financings. He represents a wide range of corporate clients with particular experience in the life sciences industry and was a legal intern at the Financial Services Authority in London. Brandon received a B.A. from the University of Maryland, an M.B.A. from Boston College, and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
Jonathan Wakely (Washington): Jonathan practices at the intersection of national security and the private sector, advising clients on a range of significant international trade, cross-border investment, national security, supply chain security, and public policy matters. He regularly represents clients before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) and in other national security-related regulatory proceedings. Jonathan earned his B.A. from Haverford College and his J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Colin Watson (Washington): Colin litigates insurance coverage disputes for policyholders and counsels clients on insurance-related issues. Colin has secured coverage for a range of underlying liabilities, including mass tort, pollution, product defect, consumer privacy, antitrust, and shareholder claims. He also has significant experience with first-party property, business interruption, and event cancellation losses. Colin received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
David Wildman (New York): David specializes in structuring and negotiating complex transactions involving technology, intellectual property, and data. In this role, he advises clients on issues related to data and IP licensing, machine learning, software development, and cloud services. David is also a member of the firm’s digital health initiative and regularly counsels companies on the unique commercial and intellectual property considerations that arise at the intersection of information technology, life sciences, and healthcare. David earned his B.A. from Yeshiva University, B.S. from Columbia University’s School of Engineering and Applied Science, and J.D. from New York University School of Law.
Joshua Williams (Washington): Josh advises clients on the application to their worldwide operations of economic sanctions and export controls, and on related public policy matters. Josh earned his B.A. from Middlebury College and his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
