Covington Advises Frontgrade Technologies and Veritas Capital in Acquisition of Aethercomm

WASHINGTON—Covington advised Frontgrade Technologies, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, in its acquisition of Aethercomm, a designer and manufacturer of high-power radio frequency (RF) solid state power amplifiers as well as transmit/receive and high-power RF switches. This acquisition combines Aethercomm’s active RF power with Frontgrade’s existing antennas and multi-mission processing systems to provide integrated solutions for the most complex space and defense missions.

Veritas Capital is a longstanding technology investor with a focus on companies operating at the intersection of technology and government. The firm invests in companies that provide technology and technology-enabled solutions to government and commercial customers worldwide.

Frontgrade Technologies, a portfolio company of Veritas Capital, is a leading provider of high-reliability (hi-rel), radiation-hardened (rad-hard) solutions for defense, intelligence, commercial, and civil applications. The company has a complementary and integrated suite of mission-critical electronics.

Scott Freling led the Covington team advising Frontgrade Technologies and Veritas on regulatory matters.
