Honoring Kurt Wimmer on World Press Freedom Day

We recognized World Press Freedom Day on May 3, 2022. Covington has a long tradition of pro bono legal work in the field of Freedom of Expression and the Press, and for many years, that work was led by our beloved Covington friend and colleague, Kurt Wimmer. Several colleagues, as well as Amal Clooney, provided some reflections on the day and the contributions that Kurt made to the cause over the years.

We celebrate Kurt's legacy today and continue to remember and miss him as a beloved friend, teacher, and mentor who embodied the very best values of the firm.
