Covington Advises Veritas and Peraton in Acquisition of ViON’s aaS Business

WASHINGTON—Covington is advising Veritas Capital and its portfolio company, Peraton, in the acquisition of the as-a-service (aaS) business of ViON Corporation.

The deal enhances Peraton’s offerings in the design, delivery, and governance of critical IT infrastructure for its government customers. The agreement adds key leaders, cleared employees, and contracts across the U.S. Department of Defense, civilian agencies, and state governments.

Veritas is a longstanding technology investor with a focus on companies operating at the intersection of technology and government. Peraton, the world's leading mission capability integrator and transformative enterprise IT provider, is a valued partner to essential government agencies across the intelligence, space, cyber, defense, civilian, health, and state and local markets.

The Covington team is advising Veritas Capital and Peraton on government contracts and other regulatory aspects of the transaction.
