WASHINGTON—Global Investigations Review recognized Veronica Yepez, the head of Covington’s anti-corruption and investigations practice in Latin America, as one of the world’s top 100 female experts in investigations in this year’s list of “Women in Investigations.” The survey highlights 100 exceptional women in the white-collar crime investigations sector, ranging from future leaders to established stars.
Based in Washington, D.C. Veronica is an experienced white-collar lawyer who routinely conducts cross-border investigations and represents both corporate and individual clients before U.S. criminal and civil enforcement authorities. In addition to her investigations practice, Veronica advises multinational companies on compliance with anti-corruption laws, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). As a tri-lingual lawyer, she leverages her deep understanding of local business cultures in Latin America and her on-the-ground experience to help clients navigate complex cross-border compliance issues.
Previous editions of the list featured Nancy Kestenbaum, co-chair of Covington's White Collar Defense and Investigations practice, and Sarah Bishop in 2018.
