The institutional transformation of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (“CFIUS” or “the Committee”) that commenced more than two years ago with the introduction in Congress of the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA) now is largely complete with the issuance of the highly anticipated final regulations implementing FIRRMA (the Regulations) on January 13, 2020.
