LOS ANGELES— The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Heather Habes and René Siemens to its ‘Leaders of Influence: Insurance’ list, a recognition of leading professionals making up the Los Angeles insurance landscape.
Heather is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office focused on representing policyholders in complex insurance disputes across a variety of industry sectors, from entertainment to manufacturing. For over a decade, Heather has worked closely with in-house counsel and senior executives to maximize insurance protection and recovery in both informal negotiations and litigation with insurers. This is Heather’s second consecutive year being named one of the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Insurance Leaders of Influence.
A partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office, René represents policyholders in negotiations and disputes with their insurers and has helped clients recover more than $2 billion from insurers. His practice encompasses a wide range of insurance issues, including environmental, product liability, natural disaster, asbestos, nuclear, and sexual abuse coverage claims; pandemic, privacy, cyber, event cancellation, marine insurance, and property and business interruption losses; as well as disputes under D&O, professional liability, and other specialty coverages.
