Rani Gupta and Carolyn Kubota Named to Daily Journal’s Top Women Lawyers

PALO ALTO / LOS ANGELES— The Daily Journal has named Rani Gupta and Carolyn Kubota to its 2022 “Top Women Lawyers” list, a recognition of the top women lawyers in California.

Rani is a partner in Covington’s Palo Alto office who represents corporate policyholders in high-stakes insurance coverage disputes. She has helped recover hundreds of millions of dollars for her clients. The Daily Journal feature highlights her roles in COVID-19 insurance coverage litigation for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, and Goodwill Industries of Orange County.

Carolyn is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office and a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She has handled more than 20 jury and bench trials in state and federal courts. The Daily Journal feature highlights her role for the County of Los Angeles and her victory before the California Supreme Court for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee.
