Covington Represents CALIDA GROUP in Cosabella Acquisition

NEW YORK—Covington represented the CALIDA GROUP, whose head office is in Switzerland, in its acquisition of American lingerie and loungewear brand, Cosabella. With the integration of Cosabella into the CALIDA GROUP, the GROUP’s existing production sites and branding platform will be expanded, allowing for the optimization of synergies as well as promising growth potential in the two key markets, Europe and the United States.

The CALIDA GROUP consists of the brands CALIDA, AUBADE, erlich textil, and now Cosabella in the underwear and lingerie segment as well as the outdoor furniture brand LAFUMA MOBILIER.

The Covington team included J. D. Weinberg, Andrew Ment, Adrienne Bradley, and Erica Wu (corporate), Kevin Zaragoza (tax), Jenna Wallace, Carolyn Rashby, and Montené Speight (employment), Marie Lavalleye (IP), Libbie Canter (data privacy), and Heather Haberl (real estate).
