In its federal omnibus appropriations legislation passed at the end of 2022, Congress modernized the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's regulatory framework for cosmetics marketed in the U.S. Covington's FDA regulatory team was deeply involved in the development and passage of Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (“MoCRA”) on behalf of the U.S. cosmetics industry.
