NEW YORK—Crain’s New York Business has named Covington lawyers Cléa Liquard, Kristin Mace, and Micaela McMurrough to its 2026 list of Notable Women in Law. The list recognizes the “women defining New York’s next era of law.”
Cléa, a partner in Covington’s New York office, is a seasoned and experienced policyholder-side coverage lawyer who has played leadership roles on a number of high-profile coverage matters for 3M, the NFL, McKesson Corp., and SIFMA, helping to secure hundreds of millions of dollars in insurance proceeds for her clients. She also works closely with clients and brokers on coverage advisory and placement issues.
A partner in Covington’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Group and the former Chief of the Criminal Division in EDNY between 2021 and 2024, Kristin represents and counsels companies, executives, and boards of directors in high stakes investigations and litigation before domestic and foreign law enforcement agencies and regulators, as well as in court.
Micaela is the co-chair of Covington’s global Technology Group and AI/IoT initiative, and a partner in the firm’s Cybersecurity and Privacy practice group. She advises clients on their organization’s most significant technology risks, including high-stakes cybersecurity investigations, cyber incident response, AI governance, and related litigation risks.
