LONDON– Euromoney Legal Media Group awarded Covington lawyers Louise Nash and Sinéad Oryszczuk ‘Lawyer of the Year’ in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Environment categories at the annual European Women in Business Law Awards ceremony in London.
The Women in Business Law Awards launched in 2011 to recognize the achievements of women lawyers from firms across the world.
Louise Nash is a partner in the global Corporate and Mergers & Acquisitions practices and chairs the firm's Technology Industry Group. She has advised clients on their important strategic transactions for over 25 years, including public and private M&A and other strategic transactions, including joint ventures and licensing agreements. Louise’s practice is international, with virtually all transactions on which she advises have a cross-border dimension, and she has led global restructuring transactions, including both pre-merger separation and post-merger integration projects in more than 100 jurisdictions. In addition to the technology sector, Louise has particular experience in the life sciences and consumer product industries.
Sinéad Oryszczuk spearheads the firm's environment and product stewardship practice in the UK and Ireland, and is a key member of our global top-ranked ESG practice. She has a diverse contentious, advisory and transactional practice, spanning consumer and industrial products, life sciences, food, energy, and technology sectors in particular. She has significant expertise in chemicals, novel technologies, product safety, non-financial reporting, sustainability, and business human rights regulations. Sinéad has also advised in relation to some of the UK’s most high profile environment cases, as well as large group actions, and has brought cases before the European Courts.
