Calif. Hotel Verdict Buoys Insurers In Virus Coverage Fights

Rani Gupta’s commentary appeared in a Law360 article about COVID-19 insurance coverage trials and what they mean for future coverage cases.

Rani said, “the mixed set of results is to be expected, and really shows that this issue of whether the virus can cause physical loss or damage should be determined with facts and evidence," comparing it to trials for hurricane damage claims that end up depending on the evidence.
