Since Covington’s last client alert on developments for the food industry during the COVID-19 public health crisis, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“OSHA”) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) have posted a number of updates of interest to the industry. Additionally, President Trump has issued an Executive Order concerning beef, pork, and poultry (“meat and poultry”) processors.
