Ken Newman brings a wealth of knowledge and decades of experience advising global market leaders to help executives achieve their business goals.
Ken joins the firm after serving as Associate General Counsel of The Walt Disney Company and Chair of its Competition Law Practice Group. In that capacity, he played an integral role in steering the company through some of its most complex, challenging, and globally significant initiatives for more than 25 years. Ken served as a trusted advisor to senior management to solve business and commercial challenges while maintaining strong risk protections.
Leveraging his deep expertise in mergers & acquisitions, distribution strategy, and global regulatory environment, Ken advised on near-term and long-term strategies that supported sustained leadership through shifting industry and consumer trends. He oversaw regulatory matters for some of Disney’s highest profile acquisitions, including Pixar, 21st Century Fox, Marvel, and Lucasfilm, and represented the company before regulatory agencies in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, Ken served as Executive Chairman of Disney's Northeast Crisis Management Policy Team.
Previously, while in private practice, Ken led large civil and criminal litigation matters representing global companies in jury and bench trials in federal, state, and appellate courts. He strategically advised investment and venture capital firms on regulatory considerations and potential impacts of M&A transactions.
Prior to this, he served as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division, as part of the Attorney General’s Honor Program at the U.S. Department of Justice.
