    Todd Mortensen represents companies and financial advisors in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring and reorganization, and financing transactions.

    He has advised boards of directors, special committees, investment banks and investment funds on sell-side, buy-side, public and private company transactions in a wide range of industries. His practice focuses on advising clients on valuation-related matters in corporate transactions.

    Mr. Mortensen has represented numerous bulge-bracket and boutique investment banks in their engagements to deliver valuation analyses and fairness opinions to companies involved in corporate transactions, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, Barclays Capital, Wells Fargo Securities, UBS, Evercore, Houlihan Lokey, Perella Weinberg Partners, Rothschild & Co., Jefferies, Lincoln International, Cowen, and Tudor Pickering.

    Prior to joining Covington, Mr. Mortensen worked as in-house counsel with a $35 billion AUM credit-focused asset manager and in a number of investment banking and investment management roles at Blackstone, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo. He is a former professional athlete and speaks fluent Spanish.
