  • Representation of the NFL member clubs in a class action brought by retired players involving alleged improper administration of prescription pain medications.
  • Representation of the NFL in connection with insurance coverage for concussion-related claims.
  • Successfully represented a group of content companies challenging an order of the Federal Communications Commission that would have resulted in the release of their confidential trade secrets to third parties. The D.C. Circuit first agreed to stay enforcement of the FCC’s order, and then overturned the order on both substantive and procedural grounds.

Pro Bono

  • Secured dismissal of a business conspiracy and defamation case filed against several state legislators and other citizen defendants who had protested a gun store’s opening in their community.
  • Represented victim of terrorist attack in successful defense of defamation suit brought by her ex-husband, securing dismissal of claims.
  • Advise a leading international anti-corruption organization on newsgathering and prepublication review issues.
  • Represent plaintiffs in putative class action regarding police department’s stop, question and frisk policies and procedures, which violate the Fourth Amendment and the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
