SAN FRANCISCO—The Recorder has named Covington partner Ingrid Rechtin a Woman Leader in Tech Law as part of its 2026 California Legal Awards. The Women Leaders in Tech Law award, presented by The Recorder, a premier California legal publication and part of ALM Media, honors the go-to attorneys for leading tech companies and groundbreaking tech startups, focusing on the top women whose recent achievements have contributed to progress at technology companies and in the law.
Ingrid is co-chair of Covington's Technology Industry Group, based in the firm's San Francisco office. With over 20 years of experience, she assists clients in the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and implementation of mergers and acquisitions and other complex transactions and partnering arrangements. She provides strategic legal advice to public and private companies in a diverse range of industries, including technology, life sciences, gaming, consumer goods, and manufacturing sectors, ranging from start-ups to global corporations.
Ingrid has deep experience structuring and navigating cross-border transactions, including joint ventures, stock and asset acquisitions, corporate venture capital investments, product and business divestitures, global internal restructurings, and complex commercial transactions. She also has extensive experience in strategic investments in intellectual property, including acquisitions and divestitures of patent portfolios and complex patent monetization transactions.
This is the second time Ingrid has been recognized as a Woman Leader in Tech Law by The Recorder, having previously received the honor in 2017.
