LONDON—Covington has ranked first in Law.com International’s UK Pro Bono Rankings, announced in conjunction with the UK’s 24th annual Pro Bono Week. The largest firms were assessed on their total pro bono hours, average hours per lawyer, and overall participation rates.
Ian Redfearn, Covington’s public service committee vice chair for London, commented: “The level of participation in pro bono among our London lawyers is testament to the commitment of our team, at all levels, to using their legal skills to make a difference. From representing Ukraine in proceedings against the Russian Federation before the International Court of Justice to supporting small London charities, there is a wide variety of projects to get involved in, and we are very proud of every colleague who makes our pro bono programme such a success.”

Founded in 1988, Covington’s London office at 22 Bishopsgate is home to over 130 fee-earners.
