Covington Represents AbbVie in Acquisition of Gilgamesh Pharmaceuticals' Bretisilocin For Up to $1.2B

WASHINGTON—Covington advised AbbVie in its acquisition of Gilgamesh Pharmaceuticals Inc.’s lead investigational candidate, bretisilocin (GM-2505), which is currently in clinical development for the treatment of patients with moderate-to-severe major depressive disorder. Under the terms of the agreement, AbbVie acquired Gilgamesh's bretisilocin program for up to $1.2 billion, inclusive of an upfront payment and development milestones.
