WASHINGTON– Cybersecurity Docket has named Ashden Fein and Micaela McMurrough to its 2025 “Incident Response 50” list. The list features the “50 best data breach response lawyers in the business.”
Named to the list for the seventh consecutive year, Ashden is a vice chair of Covington’s global Cybersecurity practice. For the past eleven years, he has been counsel to hundreds of clients, including multiple Fortune 100 companies, in preparing for and responding to cybersecurity incidents, mitigating the cross-disciplinary legal exposure that routinely follows such events, leading internal and government-directed investigations and assessments related to security controls and practices, and complying with federal and state regulatory requirements.
Micaela serves as co-chair of Covington's global and multi-disciplinary Technology Group and co-chair of the Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things initiative, and regularly advises clients on the intersection of cybersecurity and AI. Since joining the firm in 2016, Micaela has primarily served as an incident response lead within Covington’s global cybersecurity practice. She has advised hundreds of global clients on the full range of cybersecurity incidents, including advanced persistent threats, theft or misuse of personal information, attacks utilizing ransomware or destructive malware, and business email compromises.
Cybersecurity Docket hosts and organizes conferences and other events for legal, consulting, and compliance professionals on cybersecurity and incident response.
