LOS ANGELES—The John M. Langston Bar Association of Los Angeles has named Covington as “Law Firm Diversity of the Year.” The firm received the award for its continued commitment to diversity.
Aaron Lewis, a partner in the firm’s White Collar practice in Los Angeles, accepted the award on behalf of the firm and said, “I am proud of this award because it recognizes Covington’s hard work over many years to build a law firm and a culture in which smart, hard-working, client-focused lawyers from any background can thrive and see their contributions valued.”
The Langston Bar Association’s mission is “to empower leadership, advance the professional development of its membership, and promote the administration of justice in the Black community and the community at large.” The organization is named for John Mercer Langston, an American abolitionist and U.S. Congressman from Virginia.
