Scott Danzis Named ALM Litigator of the Week Runner-Up

AmLaw Litigation Daily named Scott Danzis as a “Litigator of the Week” runner-up as part of a team that represented the American Clinical Laboratory Association, which challenged a U.S. Food and Drug Administration final rule attempting to regulate laboratory-developed testing services as medical devices under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. U.S. District Judge Sean Jordan held that FDA’s final rule was invalid because laboratory-developed testing services did not qualify as medical devices, but were instead services regulated under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments.
