IPO Rebound Leads Capital Markets Recovery At Midyear

Brian Rosenzweig and Kerry Burke’s commentary was included in a Law360 mid-year review taking stock of the capital markets landscape. 

Brian commented that there is a "long backlog" of life sciences companies planning IPOs depending on market conditions. Many of these prospects have already filed plans confidentially with the regulators, he said. Brian added that “we've seen an uptick in companies beginning preparations for IPOs either to hit the market in Q4, or targeting January or early February.”

Kerry pointed out that "there are a fair amount of companies who have debt maturities that they need to refinance in the next two to three years.” “But I do think companies are trying to be strategic about when they go into the markets,” she said.
