Covington & Burling Adds Boston Office With Mintz Levin Hire (1)

Doug Gibson and Megan Gates were quoted by Bloomberg Law in a piece highlighting the news of the firm opening a Boston office.

On joining the firm, Megan mentioned Covington was a draw in part because of the firm’s “incredibly deep” commitment to its Food and Drug Administration and licensing and collaboration work for life sciences clients. “These are disciplines that my clients really need and have been asking for,” she added.

“I’ve heard from life sciences clients for a period of time, ‘We want the firm to be in Boston,” Doug told Bloomberg, adding that Covington waited until the right lateral prospect came along to help lead the new office.

“It’s a hotbed of the types of companies Megan represents,” he said.
