Covington was given a "shout out" in AmLaw Litigation Daily for a Covington team including Ashley Simonsen, Kate Cahoy, Kanu Song, and Ellen Choi. As stated in the "shout out," The Ninth Circuit affirmed their summary judgment win for Meta Platforms Inc. "on claims related to 'click-based' and 'impression-based' charges for advertising. The court upheld Senior U.S. District Judge William Alsup’s finding that nothing in the record suggested that Facebook charged plaintiff dotStrategy Co. for a click by a fake account in either of the plaintiff’s two ad campaigns and that the social media company never expressly represented it would not charge for invalid impressions."
