Susan Cassidy was quoted by Law360 regarding the top government contracting policies of 2021, especially as it relates to the U.S. Department of Defense's pending Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program and the fact that only a few cybersecurity-related FCA cases have emerged thus far.

Susan projected the number of cybersecurity-related FCA cases is likely to increase sharply under the DOJ's initiative, both directly from the agency itself and from whistleblowers who have been put on notice. She added, "I do think people are paying attention to the fact that the DOJ says we're going to go after this particular area … and even if you are compliant, it's a good reminder of the potential risk here."
