As the Government reviews contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements for potential termination, it is critical that parties doing business with the Government know their rights in the event that they receive a termination notice. Covington will explain (a) the Government’s ability to terminate contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements and (b) what companies can do in response.
Topics will include:
- Whether and how to challenge a termination
- Termination settlement proposals and recovery of costs associated with termination
- Suspension/stoppage of work costs
- The cost principles in FAR Part 31 and 2 CFR 200
- Appeal rights
- Recovery of costs from the Judgment Fund
