    Maura is a litigator who represents clients in a variety of complex civil disputes. Maura works with clients in all stages of litigation, and maintains an active trial practice. 

    Maura has experience both defending clients and representing policyholders as plaintiffs in insurance coverage disputes. She has helped obtain favorable outcomes for clients in multiple industries, including pharmaceutical, health care, financial services, real estate, and asset management.

    In addition, Maura maintains an active pro bono practice, representing both individuals and nonprofit organizations in the DC area.

    • Represented owner of a major U.S. Virgin Islands resort in property coverage litigation concerning hurricane-related losses, which resulted in a $250 million settlement shortly before trial.
    • Won on summary judgment in representation of a leading real estate investment trust in D&O coverage litigation concerning a bankruptcy adversary proceeding.
