Karolina Reiter is a project finance lawyer based in London. Her practice focuses on the development and financing of energy, natural resource, and infrastructure projects in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Ms. Reiter worked on both the projects and the financing side of transactions, advising purchasers, vendors, lenders, developers on many complex projects, several of which have been named “Deal of the Year” by leading industry journals.

  • Represented a leading Saudi developer and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants in connection with its U.S. $820 million bond issue.
  • Advised the lenders on the €1.23 billion privatization of 14 regionals airports in Greece
  • Represented Engie on the financing of the Fadhili project which is a combined cycled gas power plant with a capacity of 1,507 MW, located in the east of Saudi Arabia, northwest of Jubail Industrial City.
  • Represented the winning bidder on the development and financing of a coal-fired power plant with a capacity of 2,400 MW in the Emirate of Dubai.
  • Represented the project company on various financing and operational matters relating to the Rabigh independent water, steam and power project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Represented the winning bidder on the development and financing of a 200 MW solar wind park in the Emirate of Dubai.
  • Represented ENGIE in the development and financing of a 100 MWe concentrated solar power plant in the Northern Cape Province in South Africa.
  • Represented Engie in the development and U.S. $1.2 billion financing of the 1,600 MW natural gas and fuel-oil fired generating plant and of a 52.5 MIGD greenfield reverse osmosis desalination plant in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
  • Assisted a client on Poland’s first transit of natural gas from Germany to Ukraine.
  • Represented a client in its acquisitions of wind farm projects in Poland with the total installed capacity of 100 MW.
  • Represented a client before the Polish Energy Regulatory Office, common courts and the Polish Supreme Court in relation to the highest financial penalty imposed on an energy company for failure to exercise due care in operation of the power grid.
