Adam Mitchell

Adam Mitchell is an associate in the firm’s Appellate and Supreme Court and Patent Litigation practice groups. Adam helps clients succeed on appeal as well as in motion practice by leveraging his prior governmental experience, including by serving as a law clerk to Judge Richard G. Taranto on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, as an intern to Judge Kathleen M. O’Malley on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and as an intern to Judge Randolph D. Moss on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. In technical cases, Adam draws on his strong background in science and technology. Prior to joining the firm, Adam received his undergraduate degree in physics with a concentration in astrophysics from Pomona College, where he collaborated with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to develop new techniques to track and characterize fast-moving, near-earth asteroids, an experience that ultimately led to him co-authoring a publication in The Astronomical Journal. Adam also maintains an active pro bono practice, having recently secured on behalf of a nonprofit the enforcement of a negotiated settlement agreement.
