Florence Cock is an associate in the Project Development and Finance group in the London office.

Her practice focuses on international energy and infrastructure projects. She advises sponsors, lenders and contractors on the acquisition, development, construction and financing of such projects throughout the world with a particular focus on power, renewable energy, and mining.

  • Represented the winning bidder on the development and financing of a coal-fired power plant in the Emirate of Dubai.
  • Advised the lenders on the €1.23 billion privatization and development of 14 regional airports in Greece.
  • Kathu CSP Project. Represented the project company owned by ENGIE in the development and financing of a 100 MW concentrated solar power plant in the Republic of South Africa.
  • Represented the winning bidder in the financing and development of the Khalladi Wind Farm in Morocco.
  • Represented a leading Saudi developer and operator of power generation and desalinated water plants in connection with its U.S. $820 million bond issue.
  • Represented the project company owned by ACWA Power in the development and financing of the Sakaka photovoltaic power plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the first renewable independent power project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Represented the project company owned by ENGIE, Saudi Aramco and SEC on the financing of the Fadhili combined cycled gas power plant in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Represented Bujagali Energy Limited in relation to the $400 million debt refinancing for the Bujagali hydroelectric power plant in Uganda by IFC, AfDB, FMO, Proparco, DEG, CDC, ABSA, and Nedbank.
  • Represented Bujagali Energy Limited in relation to the acquisition of SG Bujagali Holdings, Ltd’s partial interest in Bujagali Energy Limited by Norwegian hydropower company SN Power AS.
  • Represented the lenders in respect of the Askar solar bid in Bahrain.
  • Represented a potential minority shareholder in connection with their participation in a sponsors consortium in respect of the Dumat Al Jandal wind bid in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Barka IWPP in Oman, representing the project company in ongoing operational and financial matters.
  • Marafiq IWPP in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, representing the project company in ongoing operational and financial matters.
  • Represented the project company in connection with matters related to the financing and operation of the 485 MW combined cycle gas turbine based power plant owned and operated by the project company in Jordan.
  • Represented the project company in connection with matters related to the financing and operation of a solar PV plant owned and operated by the project company in Jordan.
  • Advising an automotive and energy company on the development of a standard form supply contract for powerpack batteries.
  • Representing an operations and maintenance service provider for water desalination and power generation plants on an internal corporate restructuring.

  • Working with Kids In Need of Defense UK to provide children and undocumented minors with pro bono UK immigration and nationality legal advice and representation.
