Ben Cavataro is a member of the firm’s litigation and product safety practice groups. He advises clients on complex civil litigation and government investigations involving a wide array of issues. Mr. Cavataro frequently advises clients on compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Act and other federal safety laws and regulations.

  • Advised and represented consumer products manufacturers in connection with CPSC and NHTSA recalls and post-recall investigations.
  • Advised global manufacturer on providing services to businesses in the state-legal, licensed cannabis industry.
  • Represented major railroad company in administrative proceedings before Surface Transportation Board.

Pro Bono

  • Undertook six-month pro bono rotation with Bread for the City, providing representation and advice to low-income Washington, DC residents in landlord-tenant disputes and related matters.
  • Represented a group of plaintiffs in conjunction with the ACLU in litigation challenging executive orders imposing a ban on entry by individuals from predominantly Muslim countries.
