Chris Bracebridge specializes in advising multinational employers on global mobility and international employment issues, including the expatriation and dismissal of senior employees who work abroad or across borders. He heads and co-ordinates a team providing the employment, tax and immigration advice required in these complex situations.

Mr. Bracebridge’s domestic practice comprises contentious, commercial and advisory employment experience. He advises on the HR aspects of company and business acquisitions and disposals, and outsourcing transactions, major employers in dismissal, discrimination, equal pay and whistle-blowing cases, and advises corporate clients on the full range of day-to-day employment issues (in particular, listed company executive departures), as well as data privacy and pensions matters.

  • Advising Microsoft in relation to expatriate issues arising from post-acquisition integration with Nokia global mobile phone business.
  • Advising Indivior plc (formerly RB Pharmaceuticals) on cross-border employment and benefits aspects of its demerger from Reckitt Benckiser and £1 billion listing on the London Main Market.
  • Advising Consort Medical plc on employment and benefits issues arising from its £230 million acquisition of Aescia Holdco Ltd.
  • Advising EMI Music Publishing in relation to employment matters arising from its $2.2 billion acquisition by Sony/ATV Music Publishing.
  • Advising Giorgio Armani S.p.A. on employment and benefits aspects of the acquisition of its retail and wholesale UK business from Club 21.
  • Co-ordinating US, Dutch and German tax, employment, immigration and benefits advice in relation to a U.S. listing of a Dutch company and relocation of senior managers.
  • Advising a NYSE-listed corporation in relation to a Singaporean /UK expatriate dismissal.
  • Co-ordinating a 37-country employment law survey for a major Fortune 50 corporation.
  • Assisting with employment and variable compensation aspects of the hire of a European CEO for a FTSE-listed company.
  • Structuring the cross-border tax and employment aspects of the transfer of a UK executive to an Indian entity for a US conglomerate.
  • Successfully disposing of a significant UK whistleblowing claim for a U.S. listed corporation.
  • Advising a U.S./UK corporate regarding multi-million pound, multi-jurisdictional dismissal and employee benefit claims from a senior executive.
