Los Angeles Business Journal Names Helen Hwang and David Lefebvre Minority Leaders of Influence

LOS ANGELES—The Los Angeles Business Journal has named Helen Hwang and David Lefebvre to its ‘Leaders of Influence: Minority Attorneys’ list, a recognition of leading Los Angeles-based minority attorneys.

Helen is a partner in Covington’s Los Angeles office and co-leads the firm’s Asia Compliance and Investigations practice. She counsels clients through complex and sensitive internal investigations and investigations by government enforcement authorities, such as the DOJ, BIS, and SEC. Helen also advises clients across a range of industries on the compliance risks of proposed transactions and how to build and improve their compliance programs.

Based in Covington’s Los Angeles office, David advises leading media and entertainment groups, broadcast stations, sports leagues, established and emerging technology companies, and other content owners in connection with content licensing and distribution agreements and media rights agreements. His practice covers a wide variety of platforms (including Internet/OTT/streaming, broadcast, cable, satellite, and mobile) and business models (including linear, video-on-demand, direct-to-consumer, and subscription premium).
