A partner in Covington’s San Francisco office, Isaac has built a practice centered on complex class actions and commercial litigation, handling matters involving privacy, product liability, trademark, trade secret, antitrust, and breach of contract across a range of industries, with a particular focus on technology and life sciences. They maintain a robust pro bono practice and serve as co-chair of Covington’s CovPride employee resource group. They are also deeply involved in the firm’s efforts to recruit and mentor diverse attorneys.
The Daily Journal’s profile highlights Isaac’s role as co-lead counsel for Microsoft in a landmark privacy class action involving generative AI, which was among the first to challenge the use of publicly acquired data in AI model training. They currently serve as co-lead counsel in product liability cases involving generative AI applications, raising novel legal issues under the First Amendment.
