Covington Advises Maj Invest on a Series E Funding Round in MedGenome

LONDON—Maj Invest, a private equity firm, along with existing investor Novo Holdings, co-led a Series E funding round that raised $47.5million for a leading genomic diagnostics and research services company MedGenome. Covington advised Maj Invest on the transaction.

The round also saw participation from Sofina, an existing shareholder in the company. This funding will enable MedGenome to broaden access to its genomics and integrated diagnostics solutions across India and other emerging markets.

Maj Invest is a Danish financial group comprising an asset management company and an alternative investment fund manager, with total assets under management of approximately USD 12 billion.
