Covington’s Lawyers Win Two ‘European Women in Business Law’ Awards

LONDON—Euromoney Legal Media Group awarded Covington lawyers Agnieszka Klich and Sinéad Oryszczuk ‘Lawyer of the Year’ in the Project Finance and Environment categories at the annual European Women in Business Law Awards ceremony in London.
The Women in Business Law Awards launched in 2011 to recognize the achievements of women lawyers from firms across the world.
Agnieszka Klich is a partner in the firm’s global Project Finance team, widely considered by clients and peers to be one of the world’s leading project finance lawyers. She advises on the acquisition, development and financing of projects throughout the world with a focus on renewables, power and water, oil and gas, mining, and social infrastructure. Agnieszka has handled projects across Europe, as well as in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Oman, the UAE, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Morocco, and South Africa.
Sinéad Oryszczuk spearheads the firm's environment and product stewardship practice in the UK and Ireland, and is a key member of our global top-ranked ESG practice. She has a diverse contentious, advisory and transactional practice, spanning consumer and industrial products, life sciences, food, energy, and technology sectors in particular. She has significant expertise in chemicals, novel technologies, product safety, non-financial reporting, sustainability, and business human rights regulations. Sinéad has also advised in relation to some of the UK’s most high profile environment cases, as well as large group actions, and has brought cases before the European Courts.
