WASHINGTON—The American Lawyer has named Covington to its 2018 “A-List,” an annual ranking of the top 20 firms based on revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, diversity, associate satisfaction, and the percentage of female equity partners. Covington has appeared on the “A-List” thirteen times since this honor was introduced in 2003. In 2018, Covington was ranked eighth overall, and The American Lawyer noted that the firm “has one of the highest female equity [partner] scores on this year’s list.”
"We continue to work hard to strengthen the firm to deliver more value to our clients, and in addition to our focus on client service and excellence, strive to promote the firm’s diversity, collaborative approach, and pro bono programs—critical areas that enhance the firm for both our clients and our lawyers," said Timothy Hester, the firm’s chair. "We are extremely pleased that The American Lawyer has recognized our efforts in these very important areas, and we will continue to focus on these core objectives."
