WASHINGTON—The American Lawyer has named Covington to its 2017 “A-List,” an annual ranking of the top 20 firms based on revenue per lawyer, pro bono commitment, diversity, associate satisfaction, and, for the first time, the percentage of female equity partners. Covington has now appeared on the “A-List” twelve times since this honor was introduced in 2003.
The American Lawyer noted Covington’s move into the top ten was aided by its “high female equity partner score,” an increase in associate satisfaction, and “impressive” pro bono score.
"We continue to work hard to strengthen the firm to deliver more value to our clients, and to promote the firm’s diversity, collaborative approach, and pro bono programs—critical areas that enhance the firm for both our clients and our lawyers," said Timothy Hester, the firm’s chair. "We are extremely pleased that The American Lawyer has recognized our efforts in these very important areas, and we will continue to focus on these core objectives."
