Tammy Albarrán and Nicole Duclos Among Latinvex’s Top Female Lawyers

SAN FRANCISCO AND NEW YORK — Latinvex has again selected Covington partners Tammy Albarrán and Nicole Duclos to its annual list of the “Top 100 Female Lawyers” specializing in Latin America among international law firms.
Latinvex chose attorneys from 57 law firms and ten practice areas. The criteria for selection included a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business and prominence of the firm in Latin America.
Ms. Albarrán, resident in the firm’s San Francisco office, leads the Anti-Corruption Practice Group’s Latin America practice. She has led investigations relating to bribery issues, including for clients with operations in Latin America, has assisted with anti-corruption due diligence in connection with proposed transactions, and has advised clients on their anti-corruption compliance programs. Ms. Albarrán has extensive knowledge and expertise in dealing with US regulators.
Ms. Duclos practices in the New York office and represents clients in international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as transnational litigation, with a focus on Latin America. Ms. Duclos has acted as counsel and advisor in international commercial arbitrations under the ICC, UNCITRAL, ICDR and AAA rules, as well as in investment treaty disputes under the ICSID and UNCITRAL rules. Her experience spans construction, energy, mining, agroindustry, and finance, among other industries.
