Justice Department Pushes Companies to Consider AI Risks

Amanda Kramer’s commentary was included in a Wall Street Journal article covering new guidance from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) that changes the guidance prosecutors use to assess a company’s compliance program when it is under investigation for bribery, fraud, or other criminal offenses.

Amanda discusses new questions contained in the guidance about how companies promote a speak-up culture and deal with employees who report misconduct internally. “DOJ is encouraging companies to have their own benefits for whistleblowers—the same way the DOJ does,” Amanda said.
