Thomas Brugato’s commentary was included in a Law360 article where he gave insight into how new EPA reporting rules marked a major step forward in the regulation of forever chemicals such as PFAS.

Thomas observed that "because the rule requires any importers of products containing PFAS to report to EPA, it will have nationwide implications throughout the economy, with the EPA estimating it will cost companies nearly $1 billion to comply. Moreover, the information the EPA will obtain as a result of this reporting will likely pave the way for future EPA regulatory actions on PFAS."
