Covington Hires New Financial Services Lead from Latham

Mike provided an overview of the challenges faced in the regulatory field, saying that banks are dealing with environmental, social, and governance issues alongside culture reviews and that privacy, cybersecurity, sanctions, and anti-money laundering also still pose a threat.

David expressed his excitement at joining Covington because it is “one of the few firms — if not the only firm — that has regulatory work as one of its core foundational pillars. It is in its DNA.” He added that issues in the regulatory space will be a growing concern for global companies and will be “keeping general counsel awake at night.”
