An In-House Revolution: Early Adopters of AI Reduce 'Rote Tasks,' Spend More Time on Strategy

Yaron discussed how legal departments approach him for guidance on the practice, saying, “If I could characterize them broadly, they’re approaching AI tools with some caution and asking for advice as to the best way to approach them.” He added, “Typically, we offer a couple of key points that they need to understand: privacy and disclosure concerns, and concerns regarding the reliability of outputs. Because AI models have been built in large part on publicly accessible information, they have a flaw in that they sometimes can hallucinate, so the outputs aren’t always reliable. For these reasons, most people with whom we speak are exercising caution.”
