See's makes novel claim for interruption coverage

Christine Haskett's commentary was included in a Daily Journal article about See's Candies insurance coverage lawsuit. The sweets manufacturer is suing two insurance companies over their refusal to compensate See's for tens of millions of dollars it lost when its retail stores were forced to close during the pandemic.

"My view is that whether a stock throughput policy is going to provide an avenue for coverage is going to depend on those extensions to coverage," Christine said.

In addition, the article mentions Christine's representation of Ross Stores in a COVID-19 insurance recovery case filed against their stock throughput insurers in Alameda County Superior Court in December 2020.
