Elizabeth Holmes gets more than 11 years for Theranos scam

Amanda Kramer was quoted in an article appearing in the Associated Press about Elizabeth Holmes' prison sentence "for duping investors in the failed startup that promised to revolutionize blood testing but instead made her a symbol of Silicon Valley ambition that veered into deceit."

Amanda, who is a former federal prosecutor, described the sentence as “the equivalent of neon, flashing billboard” offering “a reminder the long-term consequences of fraud far outweigh any short-term gains.”

Amanda said it seemed clear that Judge Davila did not allow the pregnancy to sway his judgement. His sentence “was a lesson about justice being blind, whether you are woman, a mother, a powerful figure, you are still going to be treated equally under the law.”
