It's Hard To Feel Hopeful:' Calif. Justices Snub Virus Row

David Goodwin spoke with Law360 about California’s high court justices declining a hotel's request for review of a state appellate court’s ruling over pandemic-related losses.

David recalled that when he was an associate, the key insurance coverage issue was whether environmental cleanup costs are damages to trigger commercial general liability insurance coverage. Building on his previous experience, he explained he was not surprised by the refusal, adding, "The court may be waiting for a disagreement among the state appellate courts.”
