Hague Court Orders Russia to Cease Military Operation in Ukraine

Marney Cheek was quoted by Law.com in an article citing Covington’s pro bono representation of the Ukrainian government in its lawsuit against Russia. The team, led by Marney Cheek, Jonathan Gimblett, and David Zionts, is highlighted for its previous representation of Ukraine as well.

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine under the false pretext of preventing and punishing genocide is a threat not just to Ukraine but to the international legal order as we know it,” Marney commented in a statement. “We are proud to work alongside Ukraine and to be part of the international legal response to Russia’s unlawful aggression.”
